Vaison-la-Romaine
Yellow Moon, the ballad of Leila and Lee" - Centre Dramatique des Villages
Wednesday 26 November 2025 from 8.30 pm.
Event at Vaison-la-Romaine :
The Centre Dramatique des Villages, in co-production with the Vaucluse department, invites you to discover "The Ballad of Leila and Lee" by David Greig, performed by the Compagnie Il va sans dire. School performances: 25 and 26 /11/2025.
A road movie-style show about adolescence, the quest for identity and the romantic relationship between 2 young teenagers on the run.
Leïla, a mute teenager, imagines herself as the heroine of a road movie, a wild ride with an unbridled rhythm and an increasingly incredible plot. But does she really believe it?
Leïla is La silencieuse. "She's known for it, it's her thing. But she who doesn't speak is unlikely to be heard.
And if, in her plot, Leïla insists on being "The Silent One", she won't have a say. Her fictional characters will take over. She'll play second fiddle.
To impose her version, Leïla will have to speak out. Speak out. Position herself. To keep her story on course. To choose, for example, to boldly renounce the mirage of the Hollywood Happy End. To grow up. To learn to face reality.
Translation: Dominique Hollier
Stage direction: Olivier Barrère
Artistic collaboration: Aurélie Pitrat
Acting: Marion Bajot, Cédric Marchal, Thibaut Pasquier, Titouan Huitric
Music: Nico Morcillo
Set and lighting design and images: Erick Priano
