Spring Festival
Wednesday 8 April 2026 between 2 pm and 6 pm.
Event at Avignon :
An afternoon of outdoor music and entertainment on the Conservatoire forecourt to celebrate spring.
On the program:
Music & Theater
2:00 pm: Opening by the Chœur des comédiens, accompanied by piano.
2:30pm: "L'homme n'est qu'une fleur", an artistic "pill" combining piano, theater, Chinese poetry and dance improvisation (excerpts from György Kurtág's Játékok).
3.10pm: Solo piano recital with Élodie.
3:30 pm: The impressive Saxophone Ensemble (20 musicians) conducted by Olivier Piot and Samuel.
4:00 p.m.: Laetitia's Children's Choir will enchant us with its freshness.
5:00 p.m.: Big brassy finale with the trumpet and trombone quartets, followed by the Brass and Drum Ensemble.
6:00 p.m.: The Orchestre d'Harmonie brings the evening to a brilliant close.
Dance
Several choreographic events:
3 p.m.: Jazz dance solo by David Derros.
4:30pm: "Il Postino", created by Géraldine Meslier and Diane Soubeyre. Eleven dancers will move to the sound of the bandoneon in a tango-inspired aesthetic.
4.45pm: Dance duet by Ginevra and Solal.
5.30pm: Carole Alexandre's Jazz workshop (13 dancers) for a rhythmic performance accompanied live by Stéphane Cavene (pad) and David Walters (keyboard).
Creative Workshop: Make your own music
In parallel with the shows, don't miss the instrument-making workshop in the hall of the médiathèque:
2 - 3:30 pm and 4 - 5:30 pm: Learn how to make your own clay ocarina, and leave with an instrument born of clay.
